Driver kills girl, buries her in kiln for resisting sexual advances
Police take Ajesh to the crime spot for evidence collection.

Kottayam: A girl reported missing three days ago from Ayarkunnam in Kottayam has been found dead buried.

The police have arrested Malam native Ajesh, a tipper lorry driver, on the charge of murdering the 15-year-old girl.

The police said the two got close over conversations on the phone. The police had taken Ajesh into custody following a person missing complaint by the girl's kin. He confessed to the crime. The police dug up the body from a brick kiln which Ajesh frequented with his tipper.

Ajesh told the police that the girl had resisted and spurned his sexual overtures and it led to the murder.

He said he had taken the girl to the kiln on Thursday where she resisted his attempts to make love. Enraged by her resistance, he committed the crime, the police said.

Ajesh buried the body in a plantain farm behind the kiln. The police verified call data records and zeroed in on Ajesh after the missing complaint was filed. He initially did not confess to the crime but admitted to it by afternoon, police sources said.
