Basheer, an expatriate has built his dream home at his hometown in Kallachi near Nadapuram in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The family has named their beautiful abode ‘The Waves’. From the boundary wall to the elevation and the interiors, the designs of this spectacular mansion reflects the structure of waves. The car porch has been built away from the main structure so that this unique pattern isn’t disturbed.
The structure is built leaving lots of space in front so that the beauty of the elevation could be enjoyed in all its majestic glory. Natural stones and buffalo grass are paved on the front yard. Shading trees and flowering plants add to the charm of aesthetically designed landscape.
The roofing style has been inspired from the American houses. The sloped roof that sprawls in multiple levels is paved with high quality imported shingles. These shingles, called the American shingles, are durable and excellent to prevent heat inside the house.
The palatial house, designed in 5000 sq ft area, has a car porch, sit out, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen with an adjacent work area, four bedrooms, upper living area and balcony as well.
The interiors are designed in the open theme which makes the spaces look incredibly vaster. The formal living area, courtyard and the stair area have double heighted ceiling. The skylight on the ceiling brings lots of natural light into the house. The double courtyards are the highlights of the interiors. One is an open courtyard which summons the beautiful rains and the pleasant sunshine into the interiors. Meanwhile, the other one is a closed courtyard which is solely designed for decorative purposes.
The false ceiling and the panelling are done in plywood, veneer and gypsum finish. The beautiful furniture is custom-made to suit the unique theme of the house. The flooring done in exquisite Italian marble adds to the elegant charm of the interiors. The hand railings that feature intricate CNC jail works make the stairway stand out. The stairway leads to the upper living area. The TV area is arranged here.
The luxurious bedrooms have all the modern facilities and are extremely attractive. All the bedrooms are designed following unique themes. The false ceiling and panelling on the headboards are the highlights of these rooms. The bath-attached bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and separate dressing spaces as well.
The kitchen cupboards are done in the plywood and laminate finish. Meanwhile, granite is paved on the counter top. A small breakfast counter too has been arranged here.
The family shares a common love for plants and greenery, so lots of plants could be seen both inside and outside the house. Moreover, they are thrilled that they got the perfect house of their dreams.
