Kasaragod: The staff team of LBS College of Engineering here lifted the El-Ruido Champions Trophy beating CSE main team by six wickets in the final on Friday.

CSE, who were put in to bat, scored 61/4 in the 8-over match. Rashid top-scored with an unbeaten 21.

The staff team chased down the target in the seventh over. Zulfikar was declared man of the match for his fine 36. Nithin claimed two wickets in his single over.

Principal Prof Dr Mohammed Shekoor gave away the trophies. Rashid was adjudged best bowler while Akarsh of ME department won the best batsman award.
