Palakkad/Coimbatore: Palakkad DCC vice-president K S B A Thangal has been reportedly arrested at the Coimbatore airport after a gun and bullets were found in his bag. Thangal was arrested while he was on his way to Bengaluru on Tuesday.
The gun and seven bullets were found when the airport staff scanned his bag. He reportedly did not have the valid documents for these.
Thangal is also the former chairman of the Pattambi municipality in Palakkad district.
