Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 543 new COVID cases and 872 recoveries on Friday.
With this, the number of active COVID cases in the state fell to 4,389.
So far, 64,57,300 have been cured of the disease.
Of the new cases, 507 contracted the virus through contact while three came from outside the state and six are healthcare workers.
A total of 17,804 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Ernakulam, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram districts reported the most cases - 109, 78 and 60 respectively.
No COVID deaths were confirmed on Friday. The COVID death toll in the state is 67,631.
