Actor Krishnakumar has revealed his love for spiced buttermilk in a video posted on Instagram. He says that curry leaves should be ground and added in the fresh buttermilk instead of adding them as whole leaves. He was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer when he was staying in Chennai years ago. It was one of his friends who advised him to consume buttermilk with curry leaves paste.
Krishnakumar says he instantly felt better after he began drinking this buttermilk. Later, when he reached home, he experimented with the recipe and added some more ingredients to make the buttermilk extra delicious.
Now, the delicious and refreshing buttermilk that is spiced with curry leaves paste, garlic, shallots, coriander leaves, keezharnelli (Phyllanthus niruri), cumin, bird eye chillies, and salt has become a part of his life. Krishnakumar ends the video by tasting the buttermilk that he has prepared and thanking his friend for introducing it to him.
