An easy yet extremely tasty seafood preparation, this is an ideal quick preparation to be 'boxed' and sent off with your young ones to school.
Ingredients
6 prawns
Salt and black pepper powder, as required
1 pinch of cumin powder
2 tbsp vegetable oil
For the salsa
3 sliced tomatoes
2 tbsp spring onion/ large onions finely sliced
1-2 tsp lemon juice
Salt and black pepper powder, as required
¼ cup ripe mango, sliced
Preparation
Clean the prawns. Wipe them dry with a paper towel
Make a paste of cumin powder, salt, black pepper powder with a little water, and marinate the prawns with it. Keep for half an hour
Heat oil in a pan, keep on high flame, add enough prawns and fry till they turn golden brown in color
Add tomatoes, onion, spring onion, lemon juice, mango slices, salt and pepper for the salsa in a bowl and blend well
It can also be served after adding fried prawns just before serving
