Spicy chutney and a crispy pappad with a bowl of hot kanji (rice gruel) is an evergreen combination loved by Malayalis all over the world. From the regular mango chutney to the roasted coconut chutney, there is countless number of chutney recipes that are delicious and loaded with flavours. Here is a very simple recipe of shallots chutney that can be prepared in a jiffy.
Ingredients
1 cup shallots
1 cup garlic cloves
Salt as required
2 bunches curry leaves
Lemon sized ball of tamarind
Preparation
Grind all the ingredients together without adding any water
Heat coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds
Roast some dried chillies and curry leaves
Add this tempering into the chutney
