Spicy beef chathachu ularthiyathu

This spicy beef ularthiyathu is quite unique and special as the beef pieces are added in the masala after crushing it well. It brings out the amazing flavour of the beef and gives the dish a distinct texture as well. Here is how you could make beef chathachu ularthiyathu.

Ingredients
½ kg beef
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp pepper powder
½ tsp coriander powder
3 cloves garlic
1 tbsp ginger
2 cups onion
6 cloves garlic
1 tbsp ginger
2 green chillies
Curry leaves as required
2 tsp dried chilli flakes
½ tsp garam masala
Coconut oil as required
Salt as required

Preparation
Grind the ginger, garlic, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and pepper powder into paste
Marinate the cleaned beef pieces with this marinade paste
Keep it aside for at least 20 minutes
Pressure cook the marinated beef until they are tender and soft
Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry the cooked beef pieces until brown
Transfer the fried beef into a pestle and mortar
Crush the beef pieces
Into the same pan add mustard seeds, onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, and curry leaves
Sauté well
Now add the crushed beef, chili flakes and garam masala
Roast well until the beef gets coated in all the spices and aromatics.
