Kallara, Thiruvananthapuram: The husband of a woman, who was found dead in a well with her child in July, has been found hanging in his house. Technical education department employee Riju, 35, of Sala Nivas in Muthuvila, was on bail in a case in which he was charged with domestic violence following the death of his wife Anju, 26, and son Madhav Krishna, aged nine months.

Anju, daughter of Sathyaseelan and Sheela of Parpidam, was working at the Karunya Medical Store at the Kallara Government Hospital. The mother and child were found dead at around 3 pm on July 28 in a well at their house in a sparsely-populated area of Mithrummala. The child's body was tied to his mother's with a shawl.

Anju's family then lodged a complaint alleging that the death was mysterious and sought a probe. Riju, who had married Anju four years ago, was accused of torture at home. The police reached the conclusion that it was such torture that forced Anju to end her life.

Riju, his mother Suseela and sister Bindu were arrested on September 28. They were bailed out after 18 days. Suseela and Bindu had been to Kallara and returned home on Wednesday afternoon, when they found Riju dead.
