Newborn abduction case: Neethu remanded, her lover Badushah arrested

Neethu Raj will be shifted to the women's jail in Kottayam.

Neethu Raj, who abducted a newborn from the Medical College Hospital here, was remanded and her lover Ibrahim Badushah (28) arrested on Friday.

Neethu, 33, was arrested within hours of the incident on Thursday. She was remanded to 14 days by the first-class magistrate court, Ettumanur.

Neethu will be shifted to the women's jail after being taken to the MCH as part of the investigation.

Meanwhile, Badushah was arrested based on complaints of cheating and domestic violence filed by Neethu.

According to Neethu's complaint, her lover had deceived her with the promise of marrying and taken her gold ornaments and Rs 30 lakh.

She has also accused Badushah of hurting her seven-year-old son. The boy was with her in Kottayam, when Neethu performed the abduction.
