Kayamkulam: A 61-year-old serial actress has lodged a complaint with the police here in Alappuzha district alleging that a man sexually harassed her on several occasions and uploaded video clips relating to the incidents on social media.
She stated in the complaint that Ernakulam-native Siya (37) got acquainted with her over phone and later gifted her a high-end phone. They got closer over phone and she was sexually assaulted following threats from Siya.
As per the complaint, Siya raped the actress multiple times in a hotel at Thottapilly near here, and had also barged into her home here and indulged in sexual violence. He also recorded the visuals without her consent. Later, Siya had sent the clippings to her husband and neighbours, the complaint added.
Investigation is on and the police said that presently Siya was abroad.
