Double Horse Instant Idiyappam easy biryani

We love biryanis. But when it comes to cooking up that perfect plate, we take a step back. Isn't it too difficult, too tedious? It is easy, trust us. Try this instant idiyapam biryani recipe and every one is going to be in love with you

Ingredients
3 packets of Double Horse Instant idiyappam
1 kg chicken
A handful of whole garam masala
4 tbsp chili powder
1 cup curd
4 tbsp chopped ginger
4 tbsp chopped garlic
Salt as required
4 tbsp ghee
1 cup chopped tomato
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup coriander leaves
1/2 cup mint leaves
2 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp cashew nuts
3 onions, sliced
2 tbsp oil 

Preparation
For marinating chicken

Add curd, 2 tbsp ginger, 2 tbsp garlic, 2 tbsp chili powder and salt to the chicken
Mix well and keep it aside for an hour

For the chicken masala

Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan
Fry some sliced onions, cashew nuts and raisins separately until golden in color
Heat the remaining oil and ghee in another pan
Add the garam masala to it
Add onions and saute till it turns slightly brown
Add garlic and ginger, saute till the raw smell leaves the pan
Add coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder
Add water to glaze it
When the oil separates, add the tomatoes
When tomatoes turn soft, add the marinated chicken
Mix it on a high flame for a minute
Cover with a lid and allow it to cook
When the chicken is cooked, add half of the coriander and mint leaves

For the idiyappam

Take a bowl of boiling hot water and add salt
Add the Double Horse Instant Idiyappams to it
Cover with a lid and leave it for 30 seconds
Mash the idiyappams lightly and strain them
Now layer the chicken with idiyappam and cook for two minutes
Garnish with coriander leaves, mint leaves, the fried onions, cashew nuts and raisins
The instant idiyappam biryani is ready to be relished
