Mutton kakkam

An easily made flavourful mutton dish where the right amount of spices and perfectly cooked meat are the only things that matter for that supreme taste.

Ingredients
500gm mutton
2 thinly sliced onion
2 tbsp ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
2 ½ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tomato
½ cup water
1 tbsp ghee
2 sprigs curry leaves
½ cup chopped coriander leaves/cilantro
½ tsp garam masala
Salt, as required

Preparation
Heat a pressure cooker and add mutton, onion, ginger-garlic-chilli paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, salt, tomatoes and some water
Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until 5 whistles
Once the mutton is cooked, take another pan, add 1 tbsp ghee
Add the curry leaves, and then the cooked mutton
Cook until the gravy reduces and thickens
Once the water dries up, add chopped coriander leaves and garam masala powder
Give it a stir and serve hot
