Oats-apple crumble: A perfect dessert for Christmas

The countdown has begun for the Christmas-New Year celebrations and it’s time to prepare a list of the delicacies to be served. A good option as dessert during the festivities is the crunchy, crispy oats-apple crumble. A great combination of apple and oats, elders as well as children would love it. For many abroad, it is also a classic comfort food you turn to when you need some great dish to lift your spirits. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
½ cup refined flour (maida)
2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
75 grams butter
One pinch of salt
½ cup oats
(Blend the above ingredients by hand and keep aside)
2 apples
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder

Preparation
Blend maida, granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, salt, and oats and keep it aside for a few minutes
Peel and slice the apples into small pieces
Add lemon juice, cinnamon powder, and brown sugar
Mix well
Transfer the apples to a baking tray
Pour the mixture of flour, oats, sugars, and more kept aside, over the sliced apples
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes
The delicious apple crumble is ready
It could be cut into small pieces and served along with ice cream
