Thiruvananthapuram: Dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi and two other women activists are unlikely to be arrested soon for physically assaulting a man, who posted derogatory videos on YouTube.

Though the additional sessions court rejected their anticipatory bail pleas, the police have reportedly got directives against arresting the three women immediately.

Bhagyalakshmi, and others are likely to move the High Court for anticipatory bail. The unofficial directive was allegedly given to let the women approach the HC.

The Thampanoor police also said that the probe into the incident and evidence gathering were progressing, and arrests will be made only after these procedures.

After the anticipatory bail plea was rejected, the mobile phones of all the three women were found to be switched off. However, the police traced their location. But no further steps were taken. The officers are also considering to change the non-bailable charges slapped against them.

Bhagyalakshmi, along with activists Diya Sanaa and Sreelakshmi Arakkal, had physically assaulted Vijay P Nair, a native of Vellayani in Thiruvananthapuram, for posting derogatory YouTube videos against women.
