Kochi: A 34-year-old man from Thammanam AKG colony, was found stabbed to death in Palarivattom on Sunday. The deceased is Manil Kumar aka Manesh who was a history-sheeter booked in several cases including attempt to murder.
Another person, Ajith, sustained serious injuries on his stomach and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Following the incident, the Palarivattom police have taken two individuals, Ashiq and Jithesh, into custody.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), it was an argument, that happened between 11 pm on Saturday and 1.15 am on Sunday, escalated to the violence. Police and forensic officials arrived at the scene, and further investigation is ongoing.
As Manorama News reported, Maneesh was previously listed in the Goonda database and had been accused in several criminal cases. His body was shifted to Kalamassery Medical College Hospital.
