Veteran actress Revathy, who along with two other actresses had sent a letter to the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) seeking an emergency meeting on the decision to take back actor Dileep, said that she was yet to get a reply.

Revathy also charged that taking back Dileep, accused in 2017 actress attack case, was not on agenda at all during the AMMA meeting held on June 26.

"The agenda is shared 21 days before the meeting and it was not mentioned on it," said Revathy who is also signatory to the letter. Although  AMMA initially extended whole-hearted support for the attacked actress, they kept mum when Dileep's name emerged.

Dileep was removed from the association's primary membership immediately after his arrest on July 10, 2017, but he was reinstated earlier this week, triggering widespread protests.

Revathy, Padmapriya Janakiraman and Parvathy earlier had written to AMMA general secretary Edavela Babu and demanded an emergency executive meeting to be called on July 13 or 14.

Asked why actress Manju Warrier has not responded over the matter, she said, "Manju has decided to stay away from all of this for now. She has a personal connection to the entire issue and it's her right to keep away from the row."

The actor was arrested on charges of conspiracy in the case related to the abduction and assault of the south Indian actress in February, 2017, and later released on bail. Dileep allegedly wanted to take revenge on the victim actress for informing his then wife Manju Warrier about his affair with Kavya Madhavan.

Dileep had divorced Manju Warrier in 2015 and married Kavya Madhavan in 2016.
