A fledgling association of woman film artistes in Kerala has raised severe allegations against the powerful artists body, AMMA, on Saturday.
WCC or the Women in Cinema Collective claimed that although actress Parvathy wished to contest for the executive committee of AMMA, she was made to back out. It further alleged that the newly elected members came into power without any proper means.

Earlier, actresses Parvathy, Padmapriya and Revathy wrote to Edavela Babu, the general secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes, demanding an emergency executive meeting. The three actresses expressed concern over its recent decision to bring back an expelled member, actor Dileep, who was involved in an alleged assault of another women member from the same organisation.
