The 90-year-old Mariyamma Joseph from Manganam in Kottayam district has become a Youtube star with her recipes and cookery show.
When her children started a Youtube channel on food and cookery, Mariyamma Joseph joined them with the tasty fare cooked in her kitchen. Her specialities are the evening snacks, laced with love and affection. Items like 'kumbil appam,' 'ethakka appam,' 'avalose unda,' 'avil vilayichathu,' egg roast, 'kappa' and fish, lemon pickle, banana flower 'thoran' and many others have become raging hits through the Youtube channel 'Cook with Teacher.'
The title of the channel comes not just because she was a teacher by profession. Mariyamma Joseph was the headmistress at MTLP School, Thalappady. And Lalu, wife of his second son George, is also a headmistress.
Mariyamma Joseph has also starred in the short film 'Dear Ammachi,' directed by her grandson Alex.
