Masala coated potato-semolina fingers are incredibly easy to make. These tasty fritters would make a spicy addition to the menu of your next house party. The ingredients for this dish are measured in cups. A cup of ingredients would weigh up to 170 grams. A normal glass tumbler too could be used.
Ingredients
1/2 cup toasted semolina (rava)
1/4 cup water
3 potatoes (cooked and mashed)
1/2 onion (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves for flavour
Green chilies as per taste
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
Salt as required
1 1/2 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp roasted rice flour
Oil to fry
Preparation
Boil some water with salt in it
When the water begins to boil, add the toasted semolina and reduce it well
In a bowl, add the mashed potatoes, cooked semolina, chopped onions, coriander leaves, green chillies, chilli powder, black pepper powder and salt as required
Mix well
Add corn flour and roasted rice flour into the mixture
Mix everything well
Rub some oil on your palm and scoop a bit of the potato-semolina mixture
Shape the mixture into cylinder shapes
Heat oil in a pan
Deep fry the fritters on low flame until they turn crisp and golden brown
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or homemade mayonnaise.
