Lime leaves theeyal

Try out this unique recipe of theeyal made with the fresh leaves of lime. It goes well with rice and chappathi. The dish is extremely delicious and flavourful, with a hint of the lime leaf fragrance.

Ingredients
1 cup lime leaves
4 tbsp coconut oil
½ coconut (grated)
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
A small ball of tamarind soaked in water
Salt as required
For the tempering
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 dried chillies
1 clove garlic 
2 bunches curry leaves

Preparation
De-vein the lime leaves and chop them
Heat 3 tablespoons of coconut oil and roast the grated coconut and chopped lime leaves
When the colour of the coconut turns brown, add garlic, chilli powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder
Roast well until the raw smell is off
When this mixture is cooled down, grind it well
Heat a vessel with thick bottom
Into it add the ground mixture, tamarind water and salt as required
Boil until the gravy turns thick
Heat the rest of the coconut oil
Add the mustard seeds 
When it splutters, add the dried chillies, garlic and curry leaves
Roast well
Pour this tempering over the theeyal.
