Kochi: Kerala Blasters, who are languishing in mid-table in the Indian Super League (ISL) with seven points from six matches, are desperately in need of a couple of outright wins in the remaining matches to ensure a spot in the knockout phase.
After the 2-0 win over ATK in the opening match of the season, the Kochi-based side failed to secure a single win in the five matches that followed. Blasters could manage only four points from four consecutive draws, and to make matters worse, they went down 1-2 to Bengaluru FC in their last home game.
Blasters will be looking forward to nothing short of a win when they host table-toppers FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kaloor, on November 11.
