Manorama News bags three Kerala television awards

Thiruvananthapuram: Manorama News has bagged three awards at the Kerala state television awards declared on Tuesday. The award for the best TV show went to Manorama News Newsmaker.

Executive news producer Densil Antony was picked as the best news anchor. The best documentary director award went to senior correspondent Biji Thomas. Biji's documentary on fisherfolk, who came to the rescue of hundreds during the massive 2018 floods in Kerala 'Pralayabaki - Kadalinte Makkal', won him the coveted prize. 

Both awards carried prize money of Rs 15,000.

'Kshanaprabha Chanjalam' (Amrita TV) directed by Shiva Mohan Thambi was adjudged the best TV serial.

'Dehantharam' directed by Dr Ashad Shivaraman won the award for a telefilm in more than 20-minute category. Ashad was adjudged best assistant director.
