Ukraine evacuation: 53 Malayali students return on Tuesday; 184 back home so far

The Kerala government on Tuesday said that 53 more Malayali students have returned to the country from Ukraine that is under attack from Russia.

To date, 184 Malayali students, who managed to cross the border, mainly into Poland and Hungary have been evacuated under Operation Ganga.

On Tuesday, 47 of the returnees landed in New Delhi while the others came through Mumbai.

The batch of 47 had arrived in two Indigo flights from Bucharest and Budapest.

The state government said that the fresh arrivals will be brought back to Kerala today itself. At least 20 of them are expected to fly to Kochi, 16 to Thiruvananthapuram and 11 to Kannur.
