Mangaluru: A Keralite was among the two students killed in a car crash near Surathkal in Karnataka's Mangaluru.

The deceased Keralite is Gloria Uduppu, 24, from Ernakulam. The other dead has been identified as Aparna Mohapatra, 24, from Odisha.

Both were students of the Manipal Institute of Architecture.

Gloria was the daughter of P Udupu and Lisy of Payyappilly House at Puthanvelikkara.

Her funeral is scheduled at St George Church, Malavana, on Monday.

Seven other students were also reportedly injured and three of them are in a serious condition. They are Avanta, Ankita, Gayatri, Suchalita, Rekha, Anita and Maritta.

The accident happened as the students' SUV skidded off to the other side of the road and hit a truck late on Saturday at Chelliar Junction .

They were reportedly returning to Manipal after visiting a tourist site.
