Crispy prawns bonda for Ramadan

This snack made with fresh prawns is the perfect starter for the iftar party. The crispy bonda is spicy and is loaded with flavours. Here is the recipe of the delicious prawns bonda.

Ingredients
200 gms prawns
1 tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp garlic paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp fennel powder
2 tsp garam masala
Salt as required
Oil as required
2 onions (finely chopped)
4 green chilies (finely chopped)
An inch of ginger (finely chopped)
Curry leaves (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
2 potatoes (boiled and mashed)
¾ cup gram flour
¼ cup corn flour
Salt as required
Water as required

Preparation
Clean and devein the prawns.
Marinate the prawns with chilli powder, garlic paste, turmeric powder, fennel powder, 2 tsp garam masala and salt as required.
Cook the marinated prawns.
Heat oil and sauté onions, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Into it add the cooked prawns and roast.
Add the mashed potato and mix everything well together.
Take it off the heat and make small balls from it.
Mix the gram flour, corn flour and salt in water to make thick batter.
Dip the prawn balls into this batter and fry to crisp in hot oil.
Serve the prawns bonda hot with coriander chutney or ketchup.
