Ingredients
1 big piece turmeric 
1 piece ginger
1 cinnamon stick
2 cardamom pods
¼ tsp cloves
¼ tsp pepper corns
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp palm sugar or jaggery
2 cups water

Preparation
Crush the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and pepper corns
Boil 2 cups water in a pan
Add the crushed ingredients when the water begins to bubble up
Add the palm sugar or jaggery for sweetness
Boil well
Pass this concoction through a sieve into a cup
Add the lemon juice and mix well.
