The police is on the hunt for a thief whose act inside a running bus at Ottapalam here was caught on CCTV.

Srujitha, a native of Thrikkangode, realised upon alighting a private bus that Rs 25,000 she had withdrawn from an ATM was missing.

Based on her complaint, the police inspected the bus and to their delight, footage of the theft was available. The crime had taken place right under the CCTV inside the bus, which the thief apparently hadn't noticed.
