Ladyfinger or okra kichadi is a tasty dish made with fresh coconut paste, yoghurt, and green chillies. The subtle flavour of this dish refreshes the palette. Check out the recipe for okra kichadi.

Ingredients
1 kg okra
2 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt as required
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
Curry leaves as required
2-3 dried chillies
1 cup grated coconut
1 cup yoghurt
1 green chilli

Preparation
Cut the okra into small pieces and marinate them with chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt
Keep it aside for at least 15 minutes
Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds
Sauté dried chillies, urad dal and curry leaves
Add the marinated okra and fry for some time
Grind the grated coconut with yoghurt and green chilli in a blender
Add this coconut paste into the fried okra mix
Mix well
Serve hot with rice.
