The newly sprouted first leaves of wheat plant, aka wheat-grass, are often termed a 'living food' by health experts. Be it in juice bars, pharmacies or grocery stores, it can now be commonly found as powders, smoothies, supplements and more.
Health food enthusiasts love it for its various benefits, like improving metabolism and digestion, blood sugar regulation, various nutrient contents and more. While it's generally safe to consume like any other drink, health experts often advise drinking it in smaller portions at first to ensure that your body reacts to it fine.
You can also take a dietitian's or doctor's advice before having it if you are worried about any possible side effects.
