Chocolate cake with chocolate icing

The ultimate chocolate delight! A warm chocolate cake with chocolate icing. It's a complaint when there's too much chocolate.


200 g butter
2 ¾ cups sugar


4 eggs


2 ¼ cups maida
1 cup cocoa
½ tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups water

For chocolate icing

50 g butter
50 g cocoa
Icing sugar, sufficient quantity for sweetness
1 tsp vanilla essence
Hot milk, sufficient for mixing

Preheat oven to 180 degree C
Paste softener in the cake tin, sprinkle with powder and keep
Mix butter and sugar well and paste to soften
Add four eggs to it and again mix well
Add ingredient listed under 3 to it, and beat well
Pour the prepared cake mixture to the cake tin and bake in the preheated oven for one hour
For preparing the icing, mix butter, cocoa, sugar and vanilla, and add sufficient quantity hot milk and mix keeping it thick enough
Cut the baked cake horizontally into two pieces. Make the lower layer thinner
Paste a layer of icing
Place the next layer on top of it. Wrap the entire cake in icing
