An 'ada' with a difference

It is just a heavenly feeling as you bite into a jaggery-laden ada. Check out this new recipe for Gothambu (wheat flour) ada.

Ingredients
2 glasses of wheat flour
Salt as needed
Water
Filling
1 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup aval (flattened rice)
1/4 teaspoon powdered cardamom
1/2 cup melted jaggery

Preparation
Put two cups of wheat flour into a bowl. Add water and salt, and knead like how you would to make chapathi dough.
Into another bowl, add one cup coconut, 1/2 cup aval and melted jaggery. Mix well.
Now, divide the dough and make it into small balls. Then flatten the dough balls like small rotis.
On to one side of the flattened dough, add the mixture of jaggery-aval-coconut. Then fold it. Use a fork to join the sides.
Spread oil in a pan and place the flatted dough. Once one side is cooked, flip it.
Serve hot.
