Kochi: Actor Captain Raju was a genuine soul and was a passionate artiste said actor Mammootty offering condolence to the former who passed away on Monday morning.

Talking about the veteran actor Mammootty said, “He shared a special bond with each and everyone. On introducing himself to others, he himself would address as Rajuchayan.”

“An honest gentleman, he used to be emotional attached to his work. I got the opportunity to work in his last movie 'Masterpiece'. Although he was under treatment he was willing to take up work," added Mammootty.

Captain Raju and Mammootty had worked together in several movies including 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha', 'Samrajyam', 'August 1', 'Nasrani' etc.
