Pavithran, the thief engages himself in small-time thefts to feed his family. He is a known thief and he is the first suspect if any theft happens in the locality. Even though he is a thief, he has his own principles of life and is respected by cops and his family members. The tricks used by Pavithran are unique and Padmarajan manages to show how the art of ‘theft’ is in the blood of a thief.

> Meesha Madhavan

It is a 2002 comedy film directed by Lal Jose and written by Ranjan Pramod starring Dileep in the title role.

Madhavan is better known in the village as 'Kallan' Madhavan as he is a petty thief. Strangely everybody in the village adores him, as he is a sort of Robin Hood to the villagers. Whatever the villagers need, he 'steals' it for them and therefore is loved by all. Lal Jose had brought up a thief giving a comic touch to him and presented him with fun-filled mischiefs. And yes, this thief too doesn't cheat and keeps his word.

> Sapthamashree Thaskaraha

The 2014 film, directed and written by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon, features an ensemble cast of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Nedumudi Venu, Sudheer Karamana, Chemban Vinod Jose, Neeraj Madhav, Salam Bukhari, Reenu Mathews, Sanusha, Joy Mathew etc.

The story is narrated in the form of a confession to a priest by a thief about a heist done by a seven-member gang, which includes him as well. Menon packaged the film in a stylish manner with all the little nuances that thieves have. The suspense behind the thieves is the best part of the film.
