He impressed us with 'Ranam' and now actor Giju John has been roped in the directorial debut of Prithviraj 'Lucifer' which stars Mohanlal in the lead.
After wrapping up his shoot schedule in Kochi, Giju admits that it's sheer blessing to be part of the most anticipated project.
“It was just a day of shoot for me in Thiruvananthapuram and the rest was in Kochi. It was indeed a wonderful experience. 'Ranam' in fact paved the way for this. Lucifer is a big-scale movie in terms of star cast and characters, and I am fortunate to be one among them,” he said being tight-lipped about his role.
The Fan-boy moment
When Prithviraj told him that he will have a combination scene with Mohanlal, Giju was both excited and nervous. “I can't say it was a dream come true to share the screen with Lalettan because I never even dreamt of that possibility, you know (laughs). Like millions of his fans, I grew up watching him and needless to say, I was quite anxious about performing along with him. But he was so calm, friendly and professional, which put all of us co-stars at ease. It was such a memorable experience for me,” he said.
Equally admirable for him was writer-actor Murali Gopy. “I am a huge fan of some of his films. I think his 'Left-right-Left' is one of the finest films to come out of India,” he stated.
Prithvi, the captain
Talking about the director Prithviraj, Giju said, “He has already proven his talent as an actor multiple times and with 'Lucifer' we will get to see his brilliance as a director. He is so meticulous and his eye for details, even minute ones, is quite impressive. He has clear vision for every single scene and he seems adept at executing it to the best.”
Giju also mentioned that the story of 'Lucifer' has many facets and he is looking forward to see it all unfold on the big-screen, in it's full grandeur.
