Nivin Pauly and Mohanlal starrer 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' is all set for new records. The film which gained a fabulous reception on the opening day is getting an amazing response at box office.

The biggest-ever release in the history of Malayalam cinema, the film hit in about 350 screens with above 1,700 shows in Kerala alone.

Interestingly, the film was also released in several parts across the world.

Earlier, the makers of the film had revealed that the movie collected Rs 5.30 crore on the opening day and now the worldwide collection details are out. Reportedly, 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' has fetched Rs 9.54 cr on its very first day of its release globally.

It is the very first time that a Malayalam cinema has achieved a big number on its very first day of release. Also, 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' has overtaken other top openers including 'Pulimurugan', 'The Great Father' and 'Abrahaminte Santhathikal'.

The production banner Gokulam Movies themselves have revealed the official collections.
