Kunchacko Boban is cool both on and off this show

Kunchacko Boban has wooed the mini-screen audience with 'Nayika Nayakan'

Actor Kunchacko Boban had once said in an interview that he has no plans to hang up his boots. "I am willing to work always,” he had said.

If it were just the teenagers who adored him initially, in his second innings he has won over the family audiences too. Over the years, Boban has matured as an actor and has managed to establish himself as one of the most bankable stars in Malayalam cinema. And with the much-loved show 'Nayika Nayakan', Boban has wooed the mini-screen audience as well. With his charming smile and cool self, the mentor of the show aired on Mazhavil Manorama has won hearts this time for being his genuine self.

Onmanorama caught up with the dashing hero and flashed five light-hearted questions which he answered like a pro. Excerpts:

Q: When you started the show, you had said you were here to learn from the participants. So what was the one biggest lesson you take home?

A: It is not just one thing... Actors come across many people and we try to imbibe the best from them. During the time I was on the show, the participants reminded me of what I should take forward not just in my professional career but in my personal life as well. The hard work, the dedication, the positivity, the bonding and the team spirit have helped each of the contestants and me too for my journey ahead.

Q: If not Samvrutha, whom would you have chosen as your co-mentor?

Kunchacko Boban and Samvrutha Sunil were the mentors of the show

A: (Laughs) No, no.. I think that question isn't valid to be answered . If not Samvrutha... no one else.

Q: Most funny comment you have heard about yourself at the show

A: I have heard this many times and hearing that again and again seemed like funny for me. It is "still a chocolate romantic hero".

Q: One instruction that you want to give to the show producer

Kunchacko Boban sharing a light moment on the sets of the show with host Dain Davis aka DD

A: There was never a strange feeling even though we were shooting for a reality show,. All of us bonded like a family applauding each other, pulling each other's legs and so on. So

I just want to tell him to come up with many more such different and entertaining programmes.

Q: The last TV show you have been constantly following

A: (Thinking) There is this show on Mazhavil Manorama soon after 'Nayika Nayakan' ends... 'Thatteem Mutteem'. (Laughs) That's the one I am right now following as a constant viewer.
