Do you remember Nirosha? Back in 90s, actress Nirosha was among the most sought-after female actors in the southern film industry. And if there's one actress having acted alongside with the likes of Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna in Telugu then, it's none other than this Sri Lankan.

The veteran actress on Wednesday turned 50 and on this occasion let's take a look at five unknown facts about the former lady star for whom age is just a number.

> Several well-known personalities of Indian Tamil cinema have some kind of connection with Sri Lanka and so do Nirosha. The actress was quite a known name in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam film industry but not many are aware that she was born in Sri Lanka. Nirosha grew up in Wennappuwa from where her mother hails. (The legendary actor and former Tamil Nadu chief minister MG Ramachandran was born in Kandy, Sri Lanka.)

> The acting is undoubtedly is in her genes. She is the youngest and the last daughter of the renowned Tamil actor and comedian M.R. Radha (Mohan Rajagopala Radhakrishnan Naidu). Renowned actress Radhikaa Sarathkumar is her sister.

> She acted in 6 Malayalam movies of which the most noted was the 1988 film 'Oru Muthassi Katha'. She played the role of Karthu, who falls for an orphan boy Chanthu played by Vineeth.

> Nirosha is married to actor Ramki after a clandestine affair. Since her marriage, she stayed away from movies and was active in television with serials and shows.
