Vidhu Vincent, the first woman to win a state award for her directorial film 'Manhole', has announced her next with Nimisha Sajayan and Rajisha Vijayan.

The director herself shared the first-look poster of the film titled 'Stand Up'. The poster features Nimisha standing before an audience with a mic.

Although no details about Rajisha's character has been revealed, Nimisha is said to be playing the role of a stand-up comedian. The film will tell the story of two women.

The script of 'Stand Up' is penned by Umesh Omanakuttan, who also wrote 'Manhole'. The film, produced by Silicon Media, will start rolling by June and is slated to hit screens by November.

Nimisha recently won a state award for her performances in Madhupal’s 'Oru Kuprasidha Payyan' and Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s upcoming 'Chola'.

Meanwhile, Nimisha Sajayan also has a couple of films in kitty - Rajeev Ravi's 'Thuramugham' and Lal Jose's '41'.

Vidhu's first movie 'Manhole' was chosen in the competition category of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). She also won the Best Malayalam Film award at the IFFK the same year. A journalist by profession, she was the first President of 'Penkoottu', an organization which highlights the plight of women employees in the unorganized sector.

She also played a key role in the formation of Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) which supports female artist and workers in the Malayalam film industry.
