Transgender person Anjali Ameer made her acting debut with 'Peranbu' where she played a significant character in the film with megastar Mammootty.
Now, here's yet another transgender who will be seen playing the heroine in the upcoming Malayalam movie 'Daivathinte Manavatti'.
Transgender Elizabeth Harini Chandana will be essaying the lead role in the movie directed by Arun.
Actor Jayasurya, who won the National award for playing a transsexual in the film 'Njan Marykutty', on Monday released the first-look poster of the film featuring the lead players of the movie.
"For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, a transgender will be seen playing a strong female lead," Jayasurya claimed on his Facebook page while sharing the poster.
Soon after, actors Rima Kallingal and Bhavana too shared the poster congratulating the makers of the movie.
Produced by Binoy Kollayath, the story and script of the film is by Ratnald Skaria.Harini is the adopted daughter of makeup artist Ranju Ranjimar. Prasad and Shibi are in the place of her parents now.
