Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan’s 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' to get a sequel

After 12 years of it's theatrical release, Bollywood movie 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' is all set for a sequel.

Reportedly, producer Bhushan Kumar has agreed for the sequel and it is said that Farhad Samji will be writing and directing the film. Farhad Samji, who is directing the film, is currently busy with Akshay Kumar-starrer Housefull 4.

The title Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has already been registered by the production house.

It is to be noted that Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the 2007 movie and was an official Hindi remake of the 1993 Malayalam movie Manichitrathazu starring Mohanlal, Shobhana and Suresh Gopi in lead roles. It was in 2004 that the first remake of Fazil's directorial came out – Apthamitra (Kannada). That was followed by Chandramukhi (Tamil), Rajmohol (Bengali) and Bhool Bhulaiyya (Hindi).

Actress and dancer Shobana walked away with the National and the State awards for the best actress that year.

Meanwhile, the new cast and team for the sequel are yet to be announced. We can't wait to hear.
