Dileep's daughter Meenakshi turns heads as brother's maiden film is launched

Actor Dileep's brother Anoop is all set to don the director's cap for the first time. The official launch of his maiden movie was held with a close-knit pooja ceremony held on Sunday at Anjumana Temple, Kochi.

For the ceremony, a few personalities from the film industry, including actor Dileep, were present. But it was Dileep's daughter who grabbed all attention. Meenakshi Dileep, who usually remains away from public events, made a surprise arrival at the function with her father.

Meenakshi posed for cameras and even clicked selfies with her uncle and his family. Meenakshi was spotted in simple attire and was seen socialising with other celebs.

Meanwhile, the yet-to-be titled movie will see an array of newcomers along with Arjun Ashokan, who will be the lead.

The other cast is yet to be finalised.

Anoop has earlier helmed the editing department for a few movies before associating with production and distribution.

Meenakshi's recent selfie with her friends actor Namitha and Nadirshah's daughter was popular.

Meenakshi is a medical student.

Meenakshi Dileep, the daughter of actor Dileep and ex-wife Manju Warrier, is one of the most popular star kids from Malayalam film industry. Even though both her parents are exceptionally talented actors, Meenakshi has reportedly no plan to pursue a career in films. If the rumours are to be believed, father Dileep has refrained Meenakshi from taking up an acting career. However, the star kid has already gained exceptional popularity among the Malayalam audiences as her recent dubsmash videos broke the Internet.

Meenakshi is indeed daddy's girl and stayed with her father through thick and thin. She decided to stay back with her father after her parents got divorced, and even supported him when he decided to marry Kavya Madhavan. According to Dileep, Meenakshi and Kavya share a close bond and it was Meenakshi who even suggested the name Mahalakshmi to Dileep and Kavya's daughter.
