After the internet resoundingly mocked the Grevin Museum's inaccurate depiction of him, Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to announce that his team would be reaching out to the museum to request necessary adjustments.
He wrote, 'Just for the record, my team will be getting in touch with our friends at the Grevin Museum in Paris, France, so we can collaborate on enhancing the accuracy of my wax figure, starting with ensuring the correct skin colour. And the next time I'm in Paris, I'll make sure to drop by and share a drink with my wax self'. The wax figure of Johnson made its debut on social media last week, presented by the Grevin museum, which annually attracts nearly 800,000 visitors.
However, a photo intended to promote the new statue sparked a wave of reactions from Johnson's fans, ranging from puzzlement to frustration. One commenter even quipped that the figure resembled an 'Eastern European plumber'. Interestingly, the Grevin museum had faced a similar backlash in 2018 when they unveiled an unflattering wax figure of French President Emmanuel Macron.
