Actress Priyanka Nair was a popular star in Malayalam and Tamil industry a few years ago. It was after her love marriage with director Lawrence Ram that she decided to stay away from the limelight.
The actress, who is mother to a son, filed for divorce in 2015 and got separated. Now, Priyanka has opened up on the real cause for the split. She claimed that Lawrence had circulated her obscene photographs through social media, and also barred her from acting.
Priyanka in a recent interview had said that acting was the only job she knew, and even if she tries to take up something different, she would eventually return to it.
Priyanka acquired a 'star' status in Kollywood, after her role of Thankam in the movie 'Veyil'. She has also bagged the Kerala State Best Actress award for her performance in T V Chandran's 2009 movie 'Vilapangalkkapuram'.
After divorce, Priyanka is again back to acting.
Priyanka and Lawrence tied the knot on 23 May 2012 at Attukal Temple in Kerala. The duo had dated for a few years before entering into married life.
Earlier, there were reports that she has filed four cases against her husband and one among them was as per the IT Act. Lawrence had then filed a case seeking custody of their two-year-old son Mukund Ram. The son is currently with Priyanka.
