Dancer-turned-actress Saniya Iyappan who had won hearts through her performances in movies like 'Queen' and 'Pretham 2', was caught in a rumour mill recently. Social media was rife with reports that dancer-turned actor Saniya Iyappan was dating her Mumbai based friend Nakul and that they were in a relationship for the past three years.
Now, rubbishing the rumours, the young actress has opened up to a prominent magazine regarding the buzz. Saniya said that the interview she gave to an FM channel was misinterpreted and she was misquoted. "Nakul is just a close friend of mine who stays with me through thick and thin," she said. Saniya said that since the rumours started spreading she received many calls seeking for a confirmation.
Saniya had met Nakul at 'D4 Dance' reality show on Mazhavil Manorama. The duo has also many pictures of them together on social media. Apparently Saniya had also opened upon her first crush which happened when in fifth standard. She said she liked Sarjano Khalid, who is presently working along with actress Rejisha Vijayan in the upcoming movie 'June'.
On work front, teenager Saniya is working with actor Prithviraj's directorial debut 'Lucifer'.
