After finishing Bigg Boss 12, actor-cricketer Sreesanth ended up as the first runner-up of Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.
The stunt based reality show demanded a performnce task involving creepy crawlies like cockroaches and earthworms. The contestants, Sreesanth, Ridhima Pandit and Punit Pathak had to perform the task. Closing their eyes, they were tied on a bed and the creepy crawlies were poured on them from various boxes. The contestants were asked to pick cockroaches and put them in a box kept near to them.
After performing the stunt, Sreesanth lost his cool. Later, in the elimination round, he seemed to be in bad mood and decided to abort the task. He soon took out a flag and declared to quit.
Rohit Shetty later asked Sreesanth why he did that and the cricketer replied saying in the laser beam task he was guilty that Ridhima got into elimination task because of him as he could not follow her instructions and he did not want to continue as he was a weak player.
