Former adult film star Mia Khalifa just made a big revelation and said that she made only Rs 8.5 lakhs while working in the Porn Industry.

In a recent interview with Megan Abbott, she clarified a few misconceptions of the adult film industry. Mia said it wasn’t anything like 'sunshine and flowers' when she had quit the industry.

“A lot of things online are wrong. Most of them still claim that I do porn. I haven’t done porn in five years,” she told.

She took to Twitter to post a clip of her interview with Megan and wrote, “People think I’m racking in millions from porn. Completely untrue. I made a TOTAL of around $12,000 in the industry and never saw a penny again after that. Difficulty finding a normal job after quitting porn was… scary.”

This is for the first time she has talked her past in an interview.

The Lebanon-born performer revealed she made her first porn film in October 2014.

“I definitely have not come to terms with my past yet. I might put on a facade, because I fake it until I make it. My friends from home started to find out because somebody found the first scene and they sent it to everybody. I was already about to film the one with the hijab that basically went viral and global. It was going to happen that week, so I was like, well, you know, I can’t back out. So, I guess, this next one, people are starting to find out. After that one came out the following week, it was beyond repair.”

Mia spent just three months working in the porn industry before leaving in 2015 but she remains a highly ranked star on site Pornhub.

“Acceptance and pride in my past. Neither of those things have come to me yet. I am still working on the acceptance, but I am definitely not proud of it. I immediately wanted to make them feel small as they did to me. I could have handled it in a better manner,” she said.

Currently, she is working as a sports presenter. Mia Khalifa speaks on 'Out of Bounds' sports show with Gilbert Arenas.
