Unda movie: what to expect

Mammootty's much awaited movie Unda has hit the screens on Friday. The film, directed by Khalid Rahman, ranks high on expectations and audiences are eagerly looking forward to know more about the film.

Unda, which means bullet in Malayalam, revolves around a group of policemen from Kerala who are assigned on a 40-day duty to guard the polling booths in areas which are affected by Maoists.

In Unda, Mammootty will be seen playing the role of a police officer named Mani sir. Along with Mammootty, the movie also features actors like Shine Tom Chacko, Jacob Gregory, Arjun Ashokan, director Ranjith, Kalabhavan Shajohn and a host of other actors in important roles.

Khalidh, who made his debut as director with the family entertainer 'Anuraga Karikkin Vellam', has stuffed the 1.04 minute teaser with some realistic action adventure shots.

The first shows have begun at major centres and unlike the usual Mammootty-starrer, Unda have opened with a low booking. It's yet to be seen how well the film will take over the box office.

Prashant Pillai has composed the music of the movie, while the camera is cranked by Sajith Purushan. The film is produced by Krishnan Sethukumar in the banner of Movie Mill and Gemini Studios.
