A month after Balu's tragic demise, Lakshmi returns home

A month after violinist Balabhaskar passed away, his wife Lakshmi was discharged from hospital on Thursday. Lakshmi has returned to her house in Thiruvananthapuram and she has been advised rest.

Earlier, Balabhaskar's friend and musician Stephen Devassy had shared the news that the late violinist's wife was recovering well and was undergoing treatment at Ananthapuri Hospital in the state capital.

Balabhaskar fondly called as Balu, Lakshmi and daughter Thejaswini Bala were on their way to Thiruvananthapuram when the their car rammed a tree on September 25. His two-year-old daughter was killed on the spot. Balabhaskar, who was seriously injured in the accident, passed away on October 2 following a cardiac arrest.

Balabhaskar, 40, and family were returning from a visit to a temple in Thrissur after thanksgiving prayers for their daughter. Tejaswini Bala was born after 15 years of marriage, according to sources close to the family.
